All foreign visitors wishing to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport, with some visitors being required to obtain a Korean visa before their departure. Below are 111 countries whose citizens may temporarily enter without a visa according to visa exemption agreements (Table 1), or in accordance with principles of reciprocity or national interest (Table 2).

K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization
Nationals of countries/regions eligible for visa-free entry are still required to get K-ETA approval to board flights bound for the Republic of Korea. K-ETA approval must be applied for at least 72 hours prior to boarding the inbound flight. You can apply for K-ETA via the official website (
www.k-eta.go.kr) or mobile app (K-ETA).
